Class teacher Mrs K Goman
TA – Miss C Hardman
French Teacher - Madame Buckley
Welcome to Class 4, where learning is engaging, supportive, and rich with opportunities to develop, be challenged and flourish. Class 4 is taught by Mrs Goman, a highly experienced teacher who has worked across several year groups and is passionate about planning and teaching exciting, knowledge and skill-rich lessons, helping children become confident, curious and independent learners . She is joined byMiss Hardman, our dedicated teaching assistant, who brings warmth, encouragement, and excellent support to every lesson. Madame Buckley will also be teaching French each week, adding wonderfully to the teaching a knowledge rich curriculum element of our HEART.
In Class 4, we follow our whole school HEART curriculum, which helps children develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Our Christian values are at the centre of our classroom culture, guiding us to show kindness, respect and compassion in everything we do. We also believe strongly in open and mutually respectful communication between families and school, working together to ensure every child feels supported and understood.
As the older pupils in our school, Class 4 children act as role models to our younger learners. They take on roles of responsibility around school and are expected to demonstrate high standards of behaviour at all times. Throughout the year, we focus on developing important personal qualities such as perseverance, determination, and resilience, helping children to approach challenges with confidence and a positive mindset.
The year ahead is packed with exciting learning experiences, creative challenges, and plenty of opportunities for children to shine. We also enjoy staying active, and PE takes place every Friday, so children should come prepared and ready to participate.
Homework in Class 4 focuses on building strong learning habits. Children are expected to read at least four times a week, helping them develop fluency and confidence. We also use Emile for weekly spelling practice and Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) to strengthen quick recall of multiplication facts.
We are looking forward to a fantastic year filled with learning, laughter, and personal growth. Class 4 is a welcoming and supportive community, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you.
