CONSULTATION ON ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021

Admission authorities are required to consult if they make changes to their admission arrangements. The law states that a consultation to make changes must take place for a minimum of six weeks between 1st October and 31 January.

We are not proposing to make any changes to our admission arrangements for academic year 2020/2021 however; other schools in Warrington are proposing to make changes to their admission arrangements for pupils joining from September 2020.

The consultation period runs from 6th December 2018 until 31st January 2019.

To view the proposed arrangements, please visit the Council's website
Glazebury Primary School has a published admission number of 15 children per year group.  Nursery has 13 morning and afternoon nursery places for 3 / 4 year olds and 4 morning and afternoon nursery places for 2 year olds.

We have a strong tradition of home/school partnership. There are many opportunities for parents and carers to be involved in their child's education. Deciding which school to choose for your child is one of the most important decisions taken by a parent and we welcome visits on an individual basis to school to come and meet our staff, our wonderful children and to view the school.

To arrange a school visit or enquire about places available please telephone the school office on 01925 763234.

We can advise you on which year groups have available places, and we hold our own waiting list should particular year groups be full.  Local Authority in year application forms and school application forms can be obtained directly from school or via WBC.  Our school office will guide you through the application process.

For admission annually to start school in reception class.  The local authority application process opens online October each year and closes in January.  Parents will be notified directly from the Local Authority of the school allocation in April prior to their child starting school in September.  The school then organises an in-depth transition process so your child is fully prepared for starting school.

If you need any further information or help with admissions, please contact the school office or: The Admissions Team, Education Dept, Buttermarket Street, Warrington WA1 2NJ, Tel: 01925 446226.
